Linfield
College
- The Crusaders win the 2004 Division III Football
Championship
The Linfield football team won the Division III College Football Championship,
beating Mary-Hardin Baylor in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl on December
11. This championship finished the Crusaders' perfect 13-0 season.

Wells
College
- Campus goes Coed
After more than 130 years as a women's college, Wells is going coed.
Founded in 1868 by Henry Wells, founder of the Wells Fargo Express
and the American Express Company, Wells offers students small classes,
great experiential learning opportunities, and cross-enrollment with
Cornell University and Ithaca College.

The
University of North Carolina Asheville
- Dedication of Highsmith University Union
The Highsmith University Union was dedicated on October 14, opening
the building after a $15.5 million dollar renovation. The new Union
houses offices for student organizations, a Web-based radio station,
an art gallery that exhibits student works, an expanded food court,
and a student-staffed bicycle repair shop.

Bradley
University
- English Professor named Illinois' Poet Laureate
Dr. Kevin Stein, Caterpillar Professor of English at Bradley University,
was recently named Poet Laureate for the State of Illinois. Dr. Stein
has been on the faculty at Bradley since 1984, and has published 5
books of poetry, 2 scholarly books, and numerous poems.

Stonehill
College
- PBS airs award-winning documentary about a celebrated
faculty member
On January 11, PBS aired "A Touch of Greatness." This documentary
chronicles the life of the late Albert Cullum, a Stonehill faculty
member for more than three decades.
