College Sends Delegation to Salzburg Brevard College sends delegation to Salzburg: BREVARD, NC (December 20, 2005) — Brevard College will send four students and a faculty member to Salzburg, Austria next month to attend a week-long international study program on “global education.” Brevard College is one of only five Appalachian College Association schools to send a delegation to participate in an intensive seminar entitled “Colleges and Universities as Sites of Global Citizenship.” The program will take place at the Salzburg Seminar’s facility in Salzburg, Schloss Leopoldskron. The purpose of the program is to explore the factors that may either support or restrain a comprehensive approach to global education within colleges; and to provide strategies for those teaching within college systems on how they can incorporate a more comprehensive approach to global education. Representing Brevard College in Salzburg will be Professor of Music Dr. Laura McDowell; junior English major Adam Beeson of Charlotte; senior health science studies major Kody Kinsley of Wilmington, N.C.; senior exercise science and health science studies major Danielle Deines-Raduly of Arden; and senior integrated studies major Rebekah Watts-Madelli of Brevard.
